Here are the materials you'll need:

Step 1: Begin by clipping your nails and cutting off as much of the acrylic as possible. If you encounter difficulty, use a nail file to gradually file down the nails.

Step 2: Use a fine-grade buffer to file off the topcoat and remove the painted layer.

Step 3: Fill a medium-sized jar halfway with Acetone. Ensure that the room is well-ventilated. Remember to avoid lighting a cigarette near acetone.

Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Petroleum Jelly to the skin surrounding your nails. This step is crucial in preventing skin irritation caused by the Acetone. Take care not to apply too much jelly on your nails, as it may hinder the Acetone from dissolving the acrylic.

Step 5: Saturate a cotton ball with the Acetone and place it on each nail. Wrap your fingertips tightly with strips of aluminium foil to secure the cotton balls. Allow your nails to soak in the Acetone for approximately 30 minutes.

Step 6: After soaking, remove the foil and cotton balls from your fingertips. The acrylic nails should come off easily along with the cotton balls. In case they are still firmly attached, repeat the process for another 20 minutes before attempting to remove them again.

Step 7: Scrape off any remaining acrylic residue using a nail buffer. Shape your natural nails gently, filing in one direction only to prevent damage.

Step 8: Rinse your hands with soap and water. Dry your hands and apply a moisturising lotion to keep your skin hydrated.
