Here are the materials you'll need:

Pet Collars

Over time, pet collars can accumulate dirt and grime due to constant use. If the collar is still in good condition but needs cleaning, follow these steps to restore it to its former glory.

Step 1: Remove the collar from your pet.

Step 2: In a bucket, dissolve a small spoonful of Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate) in hot water. This mixture can be used to clean various types of pet collars. Remember to handle hot water with care.

Step 3: Use an old toothbrush to scrub the collar with the Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate solution.

Step 4: Rinse the collar under running water to remove any cleaning residue.

Step 5: Allow the collar to dry by either placing it on a towel or hanging it in an area away from direct sunlight.

Pet Leads

Pet leads often become muddy after walks with your furry friend. To clean your pet lead, follow the same guide provided for cleaning pet collars.

Pet Harness

Pet harnesses can easily become dirty, especially if your pet enjoys exploring muddy areas.

Step 1: Remove the harness from your pet.

Step 2: In a bucket, dissolve a small spoonful of Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate) in hot water. Take precautions while handling hot water.

Step 3: Dip a cloth into the solution and use it to work the mixture onto the harness, targeting any stains. Ensure thorough coverage of the entire harness.

Step 4: Using a clean cloth, fill a bowl with warm water. Use this water to rinse the harness and remove any remaining Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate solution. Once clean, allow the harness to dry by placing it on a towel or hanging it away from direct sunlight.

Pet Bowls

Similar to our own plates and cutlery, pet bowls require regular cleaning and sanitisation to maintain your pet's health. Pet bowls can accumulate dirt and germs, especially if they are kept in the kitchen where food is prepared.

Ceramic or Plastic Bowls

For cleaning ceramic or plastic bowls, refer to the steps outlined above for cleaning pet collars.

Stainless Steel Bowls

Stainless steel bowls are generally more hygienic but can rust if not properly cared for. To clean stainless steel bowls:

Step 1: Create a paste by mixing Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate) with a small amount of water.

Step 2: Using a sponge, work the paste in circular motions to remove any marks or scratches. Rinse the bowl with water and wipe it dry with a microfiber cloth.

Pet Beds

Keeping your pet's bed clean is essential for their health, hygiene, and the overall appearance of your home. Regular cleaning helps reduce bacterial growth and potential flea infestations.

Step 1: Shake the bed to loosen any hair and use rubber gloves to gather and remove as much hair as possible.

Step 2: Utilise a lint brush to eliminate any remaining hair.

Step 3: Create a paste by mixing Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate) with a small amount of water. Apply this paste to a sponge and scrub the bed cover or crate. After thorough scrubbing, use another sponge soaked in warm water to remove all the paste residue.

Step 4: Allow the bed to dry away from direct sunlight. For a fresh-smelling pet bed, sprinkle Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate) on it and let it sit for 30 minutes before dusting it off.

Pet Toys

Pet toys require regular cleaning due to the dirt and drool they accumulate from daily play.

Rubber Toys

In a quart of water, dissolve 4 tablespoons of Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate). Scrub the toys with an old toothbrush using this solution. Rinse the toys with clean water after cleaning.

Stuffed Toys

For stuffed toys that should not be soaked, sprinkle the surface with Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate (Sodium Bicarbonate). Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, then brush off the powder thoroughly.
