Here are the materials you’ll need:

Step 1: While wearing gloves, in three different beakers add equal amounts of Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate and add different food colouring to each 600ml beaker.

Step 2: Slowly add small amounts of distilled water to the mixture until it begins to feel like a paste. Make sure not to add too much as the mixture will become too runny.

Step 3: Mix all the 3 mixtures to get a range of bright vibrant colours.

Step 4: Take a handful of the paste and begin to form it until it makes an egg shape. Continue to do this with the rest of the paste.

Step 5: Place the eggs in the freezer to set.

Step 5: Once you are ready for the eggs to start fizzing, place them on a baking tray and lightly dispense some washing-up liquid onto the baking tray.

Step 6: Pour Acetic Acid 3% into a syringe and squirt the eggs to start the fizzing process.

Step 7: Continue until the eggs have fully dissolved and there you have it! You’ve made some Fizzing Easter Eggs, perfect fun for the Easter period.
