Halloween Crystals

Get ready for a spine-chillingly fun DIY Crystals Experiment with APC's Spooktacular Halloween edition!

Here are the materials you'll need:

Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution
Water
Pipe Cleaners (Orange and Green for a Pumpkin, Black for a Spider)
String
Stick
Container
Spoon (to stir)

Step 1: Start the eerie adventure by shaping different coloured pipe cleaners into a spooky Pumpkin and a crafty Spider.

Step 2: Once your creepy critters are ready, tie a piece of string around each one, and then secure the other end to a long stick.

Step 3: Begin conjuring the magical potion by heating water. For each cup of water, add 3 tablespoons of Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution.

Ensure the container's depth prevents your creations from touching the sides or bottom.

Step 4: Stir the solution until the Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution dissolves. Don't worry if a small amount settles at the bottom of the container, as long as most of it dissolves.

Step 5: With the stick placed over the middle of the container, submerge your creepy creations in the enchanted solution. Let the magic work its wonders for 24 hours.

Step 6: After 24 hours, carefully remove your now crystallized creations from the Sodium Tetraborate (Borax) 5% Solution and let them dry on a cloth.

Step 7: Once they are dry, your spooktacular creations are all set! These eerie crystals make perfect Halloween decorations!
