Here are the materials you'll need:

Step 1: Snow may fall on your window screen and get on areas it shouldn’t be. It's best to remove as much snow as possible to prevent it from falling off while driving. To defrost, attach a trigger spray on to the Isopropanol 70% bottle and spray on to your icy windows and the rest of your car. Wipe with an old towel to remove ice and prevent fogging, leaving your windows streak-free and clear. Ensure the snow is completely clear from the roof, lights, and number plates.

Step 2: Use multi-purpose cleaner to clean your car to prevent the build-up of bacteria.

Step 3: Clear windows are crucial for safe driving in snowy conditions. Use a Glass & Window Cleaner to keep your windows free from snow. Spray the cleaner on the windows and allow it to soak for 5-10 minutes. Use a cloth to clean the windows, repeating if necessary.

Step 4: If possible, park your car inside a garage to protect it from snow. If a garage is unavailable, consider using a shield to cover your car.

Step 5: Cold and damp weather can adversely affect your car battery. Make sure to check its condition regularly.

Step 6: Winter weather often brings wet conditions, requiring the use of your windscreen wipers. Ensure your car has enough screen wash for your journeys. An effective solution is to mix Isopropanol 70%, one cup of Glass & Window Cleaner, and one gallon of Distilled Water. Make sure to shake the container well.

Step 7: Check that your exterior lights are clean, visible, and functioning properly. Use Isopropanol 70% and a trigger spray to clean the lights, then wipe with an old cloth.

Step 8: Maintaining cleanliness inside your car is important, especially for hygiene purposes. Use Isopropanol 70% and a trigger spray to clean the interior surfaces, wiping them down with an old cloth.

Step 9: Carrying essential winter car equipment is advisable in case of emergencies. It is recommended to have the following items:

  • Mobile phone and charger
  • Hazard warning triangle
  • Hi-visibility vest
  • First aid kit
  • De-icer (isopropanol 70%) and scraper
  • Shovel
  • Tow rope
  • Boots
  • Torch
  • Warm clothes
  • Food and drink
