All reagents are manufactured to a high standard with high purity chemicals and clearly marked with the lot number and expiry date.

The HI-733-25 is a high-quality, pre-measured reagent allowing users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Ammonia High Range Checker HC. These reagents follow the Nessler Method in which the reaction between ammonia and reagents causes a yellow tint in the sample.

By simply adding 9 mL from the first reagent bottle and subsequently 4 drops from the dropper bottle to the sample, the reaction will take place and the HI-733 will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced.

Results will be displayed in ppm (mg/L) of ammonia-nitrogen (NH3-N). These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0.0 to 99.9 ppm ammonia-nitrogen. To convert the reading to ppm of ammonia (NH3) multiply the result by 1.214.

Bottle size: Reagent A - 30ml, Reagent B - 120ml x 2.

Tip for an accurate measurement

It is important that the sample does not contain any debris.

Whenever the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint-free cloth prior to insertion.

Shaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings. To obtain accurate measurements, remove such bubbles by swirling or by gently tapping the cuvette.

Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added, or accuracy will be lost.

After the reading, it is important to discard the sample immediately, otherwise the glass might become permanently stained.

Four steps. One click. Instant Readout.

1. ‘Zero’ the Checker HC with your vial inside

2. Place a 10ml water sample into the vial and add your reagent

3. Place your vial into your Checker HC

4. Press the button and read the results
