The NE1 series Clifton analogue thermostatic baths offer reliable, economical performance without compromising quality.

Comprising of a high quality corrosion resistant stainless steel tank, with a bright clean finish housed in a durable painted outer case.
Painted surfaces feature anti-bacterial finish with good chemical resistance. Side lifting handles.

Features a lockable temperature dial helping prevent accidental adjustments during experiments.

Clifton unstirred water baths are designed for the immersion of flasks, bottles and racks in a highly stable temperature environment throughout the water bath.

Before leaving the factory, every water bath is identified with a unique serial number and undergoes factory calibration against a known traceable value. Each unit is electrically tested for safety during final inspection, with a test certificate enclosed in the instruction book.

The shelf within the stainless steel tank provides stable support for flasks, bottles and racks and can be removed for cleaning. Its low-height design maximises the available working height.

Painted surfaces feature anti-bacterial technology that inhibits bacterial growth, helping to support hygiene requirements in clinical and laboratory environments.

A broad range of accessories is available to suit different applications.

Controls

Easy to use analogue dial pointer for setting temperature, graduated in 5°C divisions. Illuminated on/off switch and heater indication lamp. We verify the performance of every bath calibrating its controls and water temperature at 45°C for consistent temperature control in use.

Heating and Sensors

Heaters and temperature sensor are concealed under the tank providing an easy to clean working area. The heating footprint covers the underside of the tank and with a low mass provides rapid energy transfer, resulting in quicker heat up times and a reduction in energy consumption and improved temperature uniformity.

Heating Information

Above 60°C it is recommended that to achieve optimum performance the bath should be covered with a lid or layer of polypropylene spheres – see accessories. Covering the bath with a lid reduces energy consumption and running costs. This range of baths will operate at 100°C however are not designed for continuous boiling, the NE1B boiling bath range is recommended.
