What are Resazurin Tablets? Resazurin Tablets are a convenient, standardised form of the dye resazurin, widely used as an indicator in biological, chemical, and industrial applications. Resazurin is known for its ability to change colour in response to redox reactions, making it ideal for viability assays, microbial testing, and water quality assessments.

A standard solution of resazurin is prepared by dissolving one tablet in 50ml of sterile glass-distilled water. One ml of this solution should be added to 10ml of milk for each test. Solutions must be made freshly each day.

The product has been tested for conformity with the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

Shipped from Manchester, UK Facility: Our Resazurin Tablets are sourced and packaged using non-toxic, chemical-resistant containers, ensuring reliable quality for our customers.

Frequent Uses

Cell Viability Assays
Widely used in biological research to assess cell viability and metabolic activity by detecting reduction of resazurin to resorufin in living cells.

Microbial Testing
Commonly applied in testing milk and other products for bacterial contamination, where colour changes indicate microbial activity.

Water Quality Monitoring
Utilised in determining biological oxygen demand (BOD) in water samples, helping to assess pollution levels and water quality.

Laboratory Research
Essential for redox reaction studies and other experimental procedures requiring a reliable redox indicator.

Used as a test for determination of quality and of excessive microbial contamination in milk
